Maya Mam women and children share personal art they created at an ASV workshop.
ASV offers workshops for immigrant community members, using art to catalyze healing and develop stories based on their lives and voices. With permission, we work with narrators to transcribe, edit, and share their stories through audio, print, or video formats both online and through public events, contributing to narrative change in the broader society.
Multimedia
In partnership with No Separate Survival, workshops offer asylum seekers a chance to get behind the camera and share their perspectives as storytellers. During workshops, participants create a short video clip using objects, pictures, drawings, or nature to tell their story and their dreams for the future. Some video clips are then included in the feature-length documentary, No Separate Survival.

Mindfulness & Arts
In partnering with Youth UnMuted, workshops use stop-motion filmmaking, photography, music, writing, poetry and mindfulness practices to help displaced young people create videos, zines and podcasts to share their voice with the world.
